Multiple clubs and organizations at CP require community service hours, but some students have a hard time finding any hours, especially if they don’t have cars, according to English teacher Lauren Madrid....

After they performed their hip hop routine, Ballin, The Celebrities pose for the ending of their team dance on Oct. 8 at iDance at Leander High School. They performed two team dances, two officer dances and had the seniors perform in the senior dance at the finale. I’m going to come to iDance next year, senior and Captain Mackenzie Lawrence said. I hope that the dances continue to be just as good as they were this year. It was super strong this year and a great last iDance for me, and I hope that next year they feel the same way.

During the Rouse vs. Cedar Park game, senior Rayna Mazumadar and the rest of the CPHS choir sang the National Anthem.
Mazumadar was one of the 12 girls that is competing in Regionals. 
Our choir teacher, Mrs. Holt, would sit with our voice parts and teach us the song section by section, making sure to cover the most important material and even the musical details that seemed unimportant  but actually mattered a great deal in competition,” Mazumadar said.

The Celebrities will be performing at the iDance showcase which is on Oct. 7-8 and is going to be at Leander High School. Tickets can be purchased at all LISD schools and at the door for $10.  Everybody should come out and support the drill teams of our district, junior Celeb. manager Allison McCarty said. They work so hard to give the best performance, everybody should come and experience it.

Last years Slang Bee king Adam Babich relinquishes his crown to this  years victor, Angie Moore. The Slang Bee took place in the cafeteria on May 5 from 7-8 p.m. and was hosted by Avid Club. Wiggin was the hardest word I had to spell, Moore said. There were words that ended in “ing”, some with “in” and a couple with just the n.   I took a guess on this one with the “in” and only stayed in because the next contestant missed it. I suppose it was on purpose, props to Mr. Cieri for saving me.

Dancing to the Beach Boys, 
juniors Cassidy Cadena and Caroline Woodall dance to the song “Fun, Fun, Fun” at the Spring Show on Apr. 30. The dance had all the juniors on the Celebrities team dancing together. “It was really exciting and fun dancing to the song,” Cadena said. “My favorite part of the dance was when I was lifted in the air by Mason Parker, I was really nervous about the timing but it all worked out really well.”
