Lindholm joined FFA during her freshman year and has held multiple officer positions and participated in many competitions throughout high school. “Being a member of FFA has taught me how to be a responsible, contributing member of society,” Lindholm said. “During my time in FFA, I was fortunate enough to be under our advisors who helped me grow and [become] better as a person.”

Johnson has been modeling for four years, but plans to put all of his focus into college at Texas Tech in mass communications. Modeling taught me that making connections with all kinds of different people will get you far in life, Johnson said. If you are confident and promote yourself, people will see that and want to see more of you, resulting in greater opportunities.

Smiling at the camera, senior Breland Mungia shows off her University of Mary Hardin-Baylor soccer shirt.  When collegiate offers began rolling in during the fall of her junior year, although Mungia was excited, she knew she wanted to stay in Texas to continue her education. The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor became the perfect choice and she officially committed to play soccer. 
“I am very much a homebody and being on that campus made me feel comfortable and at home,” Mungia said. “The quality of their athletic facilities was also very appealing and everyone I met on campus was so welcoming.

CPHS HOSA competitors hold up their awards for winning at the regional conference last February. Junior Aashna Ravi is one of the members who won regionals, therefore she moved on to state. I think it was more of a surprise that we won because I was very focused on running for regional office, and also I knew I had made a couple of mistakes during the skills portion of my event, Ravi said. Although I was definitely excited as the previous year I had also moved on to State, but was unable to compete to my fullest as I was sick the day of my competition.

New Theatre Tech teacher Colin Falk faces the camera smiling while wearing his Disney Fantasmic Cast and Crew Jacket. Falk is an alumnus of Cedar Park High School who used to work for Disneys Fantasmic before joining the staff. “I worked with the fireworks team to produce the nighttime spectacular,” Falk said. “It was, really and truly, a magical experience. I tell people all the time that my favorite part of working there was that moment right before the show, when I could look out at the audience and see a crowd of 8,000 cheering people, and it was a new crowd every night, with another group of people waiting to be amazed by what we do.”

Through his involvement in the choir, Taliha said he has discovered a lot about music and singing like sight-reading and music theory. I’ve learned so much from choir, Teliha said. Eyes forward and head out of water, junior Thomas Wu competes at the 5A state championships in February. Wu made it to the finals for the 100yd butterfly and 100yd breaststroke events.  “Breaststroke has always been my best and favorite strokes since I started swimming, and I have spent a lot of time and effort working on it,” Wu said. “For the past year or so, Ive also been trying to expand my horizons and improve my other events. For example, last year I really focused on the 100 butterfly and I improved a lot finishing fourth at the state championships.”

Madison Cherry has taken her first step towards the world of business. The junior student has become an influencer for American Eagle and has started her own jewelry business, and has gained a lot of advice from her experience. “Being an influencer teaches me how to run Instagram, and see what my audience likes the most, when they are most active, etc,” Cherry said. “When I do get more serious with my jewelry business, I can see what my audience likes and what they don’t like, so that I can promote my product more and sell what [is] more popular. Definitely, being an influencer has given me a lot of advice, whether that be from business partners or my own experience.”

My best friend and I were on a road trip with her family and we stopped on the side of the road to take a break and look at the sunflowers, Spradling said. My friend and I went into the field and thats when I saw how pretty the sky looked and I just had to capture it.
