This year National English Honor Society, officers are making their members do something a little different for service hours. They plan on building and creating libraries and displaying them around the community and the school.

Historian, senior Luke Williamson talks about the crucial role that libraries play in our community and why it was important for the Honor Society to engage in this project.

“The point of community libraries is simply to create a fun and easy way for NEHS members to get more connected with the community, and to promote literacy,” Williamson said. “Libraries of any kid are incredibly vital; libraries are a Mecca of knowledge and information in nearly every culture and serve a vital role in educating our community.”
