The Halloween and haunted to-do list

Halloween is one of the most fun times of the year because of all the haunted and intriguing activities. Here is The Wolfpack staff’s Halloween and haunted to-do list for this year:

House of Torment

The House of Torment is a famously known October/Halloween activity to do around Austin. Self-proclaimed “Best Haunted House,” The House of Torment is recognized by most people as a thrilling must-do.
Prices vary depending on what day you choose to go, but start at $13 and range all the way to $24 not including tax.

CPHS’s “The Illusion”

“The Illusion” is a play put on by CPHS’s theater department, based off  playwright Tony Kushner. The story follows a father who’s desperate to see into his son’s life, so he hires a powerful magician who, through a series of illusions showcases the son’s life through three stages.
The play will run through Oct. 30 – 31 at 7 p.m. on both days, but will also have a 2 p.m. matinee on the 31st in the PAC.
General admission is $15, student admission is $12.50 and senior tickets are $8.

 

The Driskill Hotel

Looking for a fun place to stay for the night? The Driskill Hotel is Austin’s most well known haunted escape. Known as “the city’s most elegant, haunted hotel,” according to the “5 most haunted places in Austin Texas,” guests at this hotel have claimed that the hotel has ghosts and haunting spirits roaming around. While The Driskill Hotel is open all year around, it’s known to be The Place to Be on Halloween, according to numerous best Haunted places in Austin articles.

Moore’s Crossing Bridge

Moore’s Crossing Bridge is deemed one of the most haunted places in Austin, according to the Dead Explorer, as some witnesses have claimed to see “ghostly apparitions,” while others say that if one goes at night, hand prints show up on the window of the car you’re in.
The bridge is located on Moores Crossing Blvd, Del Valle, TX 78617

 

Pioneer Farms

Pioneer Farms is the place to be if one is going out with their family for a spooky night. This year, the theme is “Grimm’s Ghostly Tales,” and will have three trails ranging from G to PG – 13 with the cost being $12. The final night of Pioneers Farms’ Haunted trail ends Nov. 6 and will be from 7 -10 pm.
