Media Monday: The Emmys Re-Cap

Carlie Morgan, Reporter

Another year of Emmy Awards came and went last night, celebrating the past year of primetime television. The host is arguably the most important of any award show and the Emmys certainly delivered with Jimmy Kimmel’s amazing performance. Kimmel brought his comedic touch to the show with everything from handing out sandwiches with the cast of “Stranger Things” to his ongoing feud with actor Matt Damon. Even his grand entrance proved the night would be one to remember with references to OJ Simpson, Modern Family and James Corden’s “Carpool Karaoke.” The dragon at the end was a nice touch as well and a great shout-out for “Game of Thrones” fans sure to be watching due to the drama’s 23 nominations.

If you missed the ceremony, don’t fret, we have the results for you right here, minus the political jokes that ran rampant throughout the night.
