Holding the film tripod, varsity manager, junior Hadrian Hurn, helps the team by moving the film iPad in between sets against Leander on Oct. 17. The varsity volleyball tell battled against Leander and ended the match with a victory in the fourth set. My favorite thing about being a manager is being able to help out with practices and going to watch all the games,Hurn said. Being a manager helps me as a player because I can watch high level volleyball and watch how people better than me play, and apply the playing style or techniques and form to how I play in my practices and games.

Frozen in place, the actors sophomores Leilani Ibanez, Ben Akers and Mia Morneault perform in front of an audience for the PNG performance. The game they were playing is called Suggestions where the audience dictates what happens in the scene. “PNG is like a family, Akers said. We joke around and sometimes we hate each other but most of the time we love each other and we’re always there to support each other. You can never really control who you interact with at any given time which I think is the funnest part of it.”

With the SAT, ACT, and PSAT around the corner, students like senior Frances Tran purchase workbooks to help them study. When she was studying for the SAT, Tran practiced reading on Monday, writing on Tuesday, math on Wednesday, and when she felt she had studied a topic enough, she moved on.“[In order to study] during the summer, I bought these Panda Books,” Tran said. “You can buy them on Amazon, and you can get them in specified subjects. I thought those were really good for helping you study because they teach you specific types of problems that the SAT is going to have. I also use Khan Academy to do the full practice tests.”

This is Musfeldt’s third year with the program, and he said he has enjoyed the process that comes with being a part of such a successful band. “A big part of band is just appreciating all of the music you get to hear and focusing on achieving your own personal best, as opposed to striving for a certain placement or title,” Musfeldt said.

Posing for a picture at last year’s homecoming, sophomore Emilya Garza sits with her friends on a couch set up for photo-taking. At the 2022 dance, there were arcade machines and students were able to purchase disposable cameras. “Honestly my favorite memory was taking pictures with the couch,” Garza said. “They set up a couch at homecoming and [the backdrop behind] it said ‘2022 Homecoming.’ Everybody was taking pictures there and you could get 20 people on that couch it felt like. That was my favorite part because you could take pictures and laugh and you’ll have them forever.”

I feel like it was a student, but who knows? [Nevertheless], Cedar Park is not that [kind of place].”
