“I love getting to interact with the student body with events like metal shop and ‘where you from.’ I think it’s especially important that pep rallies are in person because you really get to engage with the crowd, and pep rallies give students and staff something to look forward to, like a break from all the hard work we do during the school day. I also think it’s important for cheer to be able to perform at pep rallies because cheerleading is described as being ambassadors for the school, and I feel like we really can get the crowd involved and feeling excited for the events at pep rallies. Also, getting to perform gives us as a team something to work towards, and performing is so much fun and definitely one of my favorite things about being a cheerleader.”
