Lane Cooper, Reporter

Lane is a sophomore and a first-year reporter for the Wolfpack. She loves soccer and plays for both CPHS and her club team. When she’s not on the field, you can usually find her hanging out with friends, spending time with her dog, Jellybean, or practicing guitar—a new hobby she’s trying out. Lane has always wanted to take journalism, and she’s super excited to start writing for the Wolfpack this year.

Smiling for the camera, girls' soccer players sophomore Ryan Haskins, juniors Anna Geertsema and Bella Ballenger, and senior Aerin Tryals-Meyer await visitors to their trunk. The team used a truck bed and filled it with candy, and covered the whole truck in spider webs to appeal more to the kids. “We have a scoring goal so you can shoot, or the kids can shoot,” Tryals-Meyer said. “Whenever they make it, they get candy.”

Running with the ball, junior quarterback David Cooper attempts to escape the opposing pass rush during the homecoming loss against East View. The defeat was the first loss in the homecoming game for the Timberwolves in 20 years. “We just made too many mistakes,” head football coach Michael Quintero, or Coach Q, said. “There were too many missed opportunities that we didn’t capitalize on and they did, so that’s the outcome.”

Smiling for the camera, senior Emeralds Ava Holmes, Lily Pratt, and junior Emilie Sander pose at Meet the Timberwolves, an annual event featuring the dance program. This is the first year that the Emeralds have been reinstated, after a five year period with no JV dance team, and this was one of the team's most recent public performances. "My favorite part of Meet the Timberwolves was dancing and performing with the Emeralds and Celebrities and welcoming all of the teams onto the field," Sander said. "It was so much fun, and it was a great way to show school spirit."
