Shows Worth Binging on Netflix
Our Top Netflix Picks For When Boredom Strikes Over the Break
December 19, 2017
Something everybody hates about breaks is how bored you can get, that you even consider doing chores. Fear not, we have compiled a list of shows that you can binge watch on Netflix so you have an excuse not to do chores. You’re welcome in advance.
Gillian-
Sense8; June 5, 2015- Present (2 seasons)-
I’m not done watching “Sense8,” but so far it’s really good. There is lots of drama and suspense and it is a good show to binge watch, however it’s really sad that they cancelled it.
Black Mirror; December 4. 2011-Present (4 seasons)-
The fourth season is coming soon and I’m so excited because it’s a show I really enjoy watching. It’s about how technology basically takes over society. It’s a very eye opening show because there is some truth to it.
Perry-
White Collar; October 23, 2009- December 18, 2014 (6 seasons)-
I started watching this show in the middle of summer and got so caught up in it that I ended up finishing all six seasons of the show before school began. Definitely one of my favorites, if not my favorite, TV show of all time. I recommend it for anyone that likes action/comedy shows.
Burn Notice; June 28, 2007- September 12, 2013 (7 seasons)-
I just started watching “Burn Notice” this month, but I immediately found interest in the spy action/comedy mix and I’m already halfway through season three. It’s funny, clever and very distinct from other shows in the same genre. I haven’t finished it yet, but it’s already shaping up to be one of my favorite TV shows.
Deana-
30 Rock; October 11, 2006- January 31, 2013 (7 seasons)-
I would say that “30 Rock” is better than “The Office,” overall. That is a bold statement, I know, but I love Tina Fey and the writing. All the characters are funny and each episode has a great plot.
Atypical; August 11, 2017- Present (1 season)-
This is a new show that came out last summer. The show is about a teen boy with autism and what it’s like, along with family drama. I haven’t finished it, but the ones that I have watched were interesting and had good writing.
Orange is the New Black- July 11, 2013 (5 seasons)-
This is one of the best Netflix original shows out there. It is based in a jail and is really entertaining. I love the relationships within the show and the writing is well thought out. I’m very excited for the next season to come out so I can binge it.
Stranger Things- 2 seasons- July 15, 2016- present (2 seasons)-
I’m not sure “Stranger Things” needs any justification for being one of the best shows out there on Netflix. It it cute and full of drama and I love the characters. This is a must see on Netflix.
Garrett-
Mindhunter; October 13, 2017- Present (1 season)-
So far, the series “Mindhunter,” is just in the beginning stages of being a great series. “Mindhunter” has two Oscar nominated actors, David Fincher and Charlize Theron on the show, making it so great. If you watch the crime shows all the time, you could easily get obsessed with this show.
Criminal Minds; September 22, 2005- Present (13 seasons)-
In my opinion, this is one of my favorite shows to watch when I am bored. The show begins in Quantico, Virginia as a team of elite profiling members studies serial killers throughout the country. This show keeps you on the edge of your seat on every episode with very intelligent actors such as Shemar Moore and A.J. Cook. If you haven’t watched a glimpse of this show, I highly suggest it.
Sydney-
The Office (US); March 24, 2005- May 16, 2013 (9 seasons)-
“The Office” is set at a paper company called Dunder Mifflin in Scranton, Pennsylvania, and follows the entire office and their daily lives. It’s set up like a reality show, but the characters are still real actors. So they get interviewed and get followed around by a camera crew throughout the show. It’s so hilarious and everyone’s personalities together on it just make it that much funnier. A lot of my friends are on their second or third time watching it because it’s that good, and I’m on my second time around. I highly recommend watching it because of simply how funny it is.
The Vampire Diaries; September 10, 2009- March 10, 2017 (8 seasons)-
Ok yes I know this show is super cheesy and dramatic, but I love it and think it’s the best. When I first heard of it I really didn’t think much of it, mostly because I thought it was just another vampire show. But after watching it one day when I was bored I started to get into it. I got super into it and convinced all of my friends to start watching it. For some reason we all really don’t like main character, and I know it’s an unpopular opinion but still it’s really good. Overall, if your looking for a guilty pleasure show The Vampire Diaries is for you.
Hopefully you have found some Netflix inspiration in our picks and will happily be a couch potato during break.

Yearbook won 43, newspaper won 14 and broadcast took home nine. “I think [the ILPC awards] are a great way to give the kids some acknowledgement for all of their hard work,” newspaper and yearbook adviser Paige Hert said. “They typically spend the year covering everyone else’s big moments, so it’s really cool for them to be celebrated so many times and in so many different ways.”](https://cphswolfpack.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/edited-ILPC.jpg)

"I feel like it’s not really appreciated in America as much, but [tennis] is a really competitive and mentally challenging sport,” Nguyen said. “I’m really level-headed and can keep my cool during a match, and that helps me play a bit better under pressure.” Photo by Kyra Cox](https://cphswolfpack.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/hasun.jpg)

![Bringing her arm over her head and taking a quick breath, junior Lauren Lucas swims the final laps of the 500 freestyle at the regionals swimming competition on date. Lucas broke the school’s 18-year-old record for the 500 freestyle at regionals and again at state with a time of 4:58.63. “I’d had my eye on that 500 record since my freshman year, so I was really excited to see if I could get it at regionals or districts,” Lucas said. “ State is always a really fun experience and medaling for the first time was really great. It was a very very tight race, [so] I was a bit surprised [that I medaled]. [There were] a lot of fast girls at the meet in general, [and] it was like a dogfight back and forth, back and forth.” Photo by Kaydence Wilkinson](https://cphswolfpack.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Kaydence-2.7-23-edit-2.jpg)

![Holding a microphone, baseball booster club president Chris Cuevas announces the beginning of the annual cornhole tournament. The event has been held for the past two years and is designed to raise money for the baseball program in a fun way. “We’re a baseball team, so people love to compete,” Cuevas said. “So we figured we better do something that gets [their] attention. They want to compete. It’s not a hard sport to do, and we have all different [skill] levels [of participants].” Photo by Henry Mueller](https://cphswolfpack.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Henry-715-1200x900.jpg)
