Villanova Wildcats Win 2018 National Title

The Villanova Wildcats are the 2018 NCAA Basketball Champions.

On April 2, 2018, the Wildcats took down the Michigan Wolverines to claim their second title in a three-year span. Villanova Head Coach Jay Wright became only the third active NCAA coach to win multiple titles with the same team.

Donte DiVincenzo led the way for Nova, sinking 5/7 three-point-attempts and 31 points in total. As a result of his Final Four performance, he was named the Most Outstanding Player of the Final Four.

Nova’s Jalen Brunson, who won AP Most Outstanding Player of the Year, led the way for the Wildcats all season long and didn’t mind taking a “backseat” as other Nova stars Mikal Bridges and Donte DiVincenzo took over in the National Championship Game.

The Wildcats actually won all their tournament games by double-digits, becoming only the fifth team to do so.

It was a crazy ride all season long for Villanova, but the city of Philadelphia now has it’s second title of 2018.
