This past weekend, I sat on my bed wondering what I could do because I finally had some “me time.” Lately, I have not been able to watch any TV shows or movies because of my busy schedule with school and volleyball. I scanned the Netflix top ten movies and found a new movie called “Me Time” had been released and was already the number one movie on Netflix.
I didn’t even have to watch the trailer to be interested in the movie because of the two lead actors that starred in the movie. Kevin Hart, the lead actor in the movie, and co-star Mark Wahlberg are both actors that are known for their comedy. Both these actors made me excited to watch the movie because of of the famous movies they have starred in in the past.
Hart is a famous actor and comedian who has acted in many popular movies like “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle” and “Central Intelligence.” Co-star Mark Wahlberg is also a well known actor and producer who has acted in the popular movies “Daddy’s Home” and “The Other Guys.” These two actors perfectly complement each other and made the movie very enjoyable to watch.
The movie starts off with a very entertaining action scene with two guys, played by Hart and Wahlberg, wingsuit flying off of a mountain. This scene already spiked my interest in the movie because of its crazy start and funny commentary. After this scene, I paused the movie and got Goldfish and popcorn eager to watch the rest of the movie.
The plot starts off with a stay at home dad named Sonny Fisher, played by Hart, taking care of his kids while his wife Maya Fisher, played by Regina Hall, works as an architect. Maya begins to feel like she is not involved enough in her kids lives and decides to take the kids on a trip to their grandparent’s house. While Sonny who has been extremely involved in their lives is suddenly left at home for some “me time.” His childhood best friends named Huck, played by Wahlberg, invites him to his birthday celebration. Huck likes to go out and party with friends while Sonny likes to stay at home with his family. Although Sonny is hesitant, he finally decided to attend Huck’s party. At the party, Sonny tries to have “me time” without having to take care his kids, which leads to a series of wild events.
I really liked watching the movie and found myself interested in it the whole time. I enjoyed the plot and how the characters and story developed. I found myself laughing throughout the movie from the comedic dialogue from Hart and Wahlberg. I also always felt very invested in the story of the movie, always wondering what would happen next. The visuals in the movie were nothing special but I felt the acting definitely made up for it.
I definitely recommend this movie anyone high school and older since it is a rated R movie. If anyone wanted to find a funny and exciting movie, this movie would be perfect.

Kato’s painting is a political piece inspired by a photo of elementary schoolers in the street protesting against ICE. “I think it's also symbolic because they're surrounded by snow, which can represent ICE, and they are still marching,” Kato said. “[The kids] are not stopping until equality or justice is served, which I think is really important to represent and show.” Photo by John Pinion](https://cphswolfpack.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Screenshot-2026-03-26-114740.png)

It set the tone for the games after and has really impacted and sparked this whole playoff run.” Photo by Allie Tseng](https://cphswolfpack.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/allie-boerne00159-1200x800.jpg)

They are my brothers for life. Just waking up and grinding together, and proving the naysayers wrong [was my favorite part].”
