During the summer, Peterson traveled to Colombia to help build an elementary school that only had two classrooms but five or six grades with one teacher. “We add[ed] two more classrooms,” Peterson said. “It’s kind of hard when you have two or three grades in one classroom and you only have one teacher. Kaley Johnson, Reporter
Kaley is a senior and this is her second year as a reporter on The Wolfpack staff. She is also a part of the varsity tennis team. She enjoys writing opinion pieces as well as the concerns and interests of the students. She plans to study English or creative writing at UNT or LSU with a minor in either psychology or theater. In her free time, she enjoys stories in any way including watching, reading and writing. She also enjoys music, fashion, food and coffee.

Overall, the girls team took second place and the boys team came in eleventh. “My favorite stroke is butterfly because I do the best in that stroke,” Pope said. “I feel like [butterfly] can test how [your ability] to convince yourself to keep going.
