Handling the basketball and dribbling the soccer ball, senior varsity dual sport athlete Grace Slaughter puts in her full effort from the first goal to the final basket. Slaughter played both soccer and basketball at the varsity level throughout high school. “Both basketball and soccer have meant the most to me,” Slaughter said. “Playing both sports have taught me so many things about myself and skills needed for the future. I have become a more well-rounded person. [Also], with it being my senior year, [I can] play with less pressure since it’s my last year, and playing with a lot of my friends is fun too.”

Hoopfest, a fundraiser held for girls' basketball on Oct. 23, consisted of open practices, a free throw competition and barbecue plates.
