During the summer, Peterson traveled to Colombia to help build an elementary school that only had two classrooms but five or six grades with one teacher. “We add[ed] two more classrooms,” Peterson said. “It’s kind of hard when you have two or three grades in one classroom and you only have one teacher. Overall, the girls team took second place and the boys team came in eleventh. “My favorite stroke is butterfly because I do the best in that stroke,” Pope said. “I feel like [butterfly] can test how [your ability] to convince yourself to keep going. Theater has been hard at work preparing for their show “Cabaret.” We got a chance to talk with senior Hyrum Jackson about his role in the play. “I am playing Cliff, well half of it because I am not doing the Sunday show, but Cliff is the lead male role. I have been preparing by studying lines every night for 20 minutes to an hour. I am also in the Theater DEN everyday so I get more practice there. In class we go over scenes and stage directions so I know where to walk on the stage.” Hyrum Jackson
