Cedar Park students are painting a picture of the quality that comes from our school. Nine works of art from seven Cedar Park High School students were included in the Ahead of Their Time 2013 art exhibition. This is the fourteenth annual Austin Area Advanced Student Art Exhibition. The Exhibition is sponsored by AMOA art house.

The students who are recognized in the art exhibition include Kaycee Wilson, Dong Hee Han, Kaitlin Grelle, Laith Al-hamidi, Chloe Gilimar, Ben Harral and Zak Ayles.

There were over 1250 submissions from over 250 Austin area students. Only seventy-two of the 1250 submissions were selected. Of those 250 students, only sixty-nine students were selected into the exhibition to be displayed.

The Exhibit is scheduled for April 4-21. The opening reception and awards ceremony was Saturday, April 6 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Jones Center, located at 700 Congress Avenue.

Also there are three students that have art work advancing to state VASE, or the Visual Art Scholastic Event, this month. The students include Brittani Lohrstorfer, Emily Barcenas and Kayla Brewer.
