Celebrities Share The Stage At The Annual iDance

The Celebrities and Emeralds took the stage Wednesday along with six other dance teams from around the district at the annual iDance.

It was held at Leander High School from 7 – 8 pm.

What makes iDance different from the Celebrities Fall or Spring shows is that all of the teams get the chance dance together instead of competing against one another. Along with participating in dances with other teams from different schools, both teams, Emeralds and Celebrities, still had the chance to show their own dances. The Emeralds performed “Where It Stays,” and the Celebrities performed “Youth,” along with a few other routines. In order to prepare for this show, along with their three hour long practices that go into first period, they met with the other schools to make sure everything ran smoothly and the spacing looked right.

“My favorite part (about performing) is the feeling of being on stage in front of the crowd and just doing what I love,” junior Ally Garcia said. “It’s so amazing that we have the opportunity to come together with the other teams in our community and perform in front of our friends and families.”

Be sure to check them out tonight at 7 p.m. for their last iDance show. Tickets are $10 at the door.
