The CPHS choir performed in their fall concert on Tuesday, Oct. 29.
They performed popular Halloween songs, including The Monster Mash, Cruella DeVil, Phantom of the Opera, Thriller, Addams Family, Nightmare Before Christmas, Poison Ivy, Sweeney Todd and Ghostbusters.
“My favorite song that we sang was the Addams Family,” sophomore and choir member Paris Lailson said. “I also love the choreography that we did to the songs.”
Along with the concert, the choir had fun Halloween activities for students of all ages.
“The high school students got to play tag in the PAC after the show,” Lailson said. “The choir also had a party afterwards, which was really fun,”
The choir has been preparing for the TMEA concert this coming Saturday, Nov.16 here at Cedar Park. The choir will have their next school concert on Dec. 9.
They will also be performing in their annual Madrigal Dinner on Dec. 13 in the cafeteria from 7-9 pm. The madrigal dinner is a Christmas themed musical that the seasons and pitch black choirs perform in. The story is set in medieval times, and the script this year was written by the new writing club.
