Five students will be advancing to state in FCCLA’s (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America) competition. This group competed in Culinary Arts as well as a Cupcake battle.

Taking home sixth place in Culinary Arts, junior Bradley Gibson says that these culinary competitions help him with his technique and time management.

“Competing in culinary helps with cooking under pressure which really can help you understand what a real culinary job might feel like,” Gibson said. “It is also a good way to explore your creativity because you have to come up with original and creative ways to plate your food.”
