Reading is a gateway to different worlds and can take readers on an adventure they can’t experience in their own life, giving them the opportunity to escape from their current reality, according to English teacher Jessica Logsdon. “Reading has given me a much-needed outlet. ![One of the few stick vehicles in the school parking lot, senior Alex Trebilco’s 1970 Ford Maverick is a restoration project he worked on with his dad. He and his father have worked on cars together for all of Trebilco’s life, and have several finished projects because of it. “[My favorite memory with my car is] honestly just cruising with my dad in his truck and my car,” Trebilco said. “Both of the [cars] are restored. Orchestra Honors

On Nov. 10, CP band students competed in the Region 26 Orchestra Auditions with all of RRISD, LISD, Lake Travis, Georgetown ISD and several other surrounding school districts.
Aidan Case, Anthony Cortes, Courtney Regester, Johnny Theisen and Anna Wessels all earned the highest honors, making the orchestra.
Students advancing to Area auditions from this tryout are Aidan Case, Anthony Cortes, Courtney Regester and Johnny Theisen. This audition will determine All-State status from students trying out from Houston, Dallas and most of the I35 corridor.
Additionally, Aidan Case and Anthony Cortes placed first chair on their instruments.

![While feeling the rush of emotions after reaching 100 wins in his wrestling career, senior and varsity wrestler Kane Sistrunk celebrates his win against Comal Canyon. Attaining this achievement is a rare occurrence in the high school wrestling world. “It was super relieving because I knew there were celebrations and fun things like that,” Sistrunk said. “My best friend was telling everyone I had 99 wins before the match, which is nerve-racking [to try and meet everyone’s expectation of me reaching 100]. It was super fulfilling to get [the win].”
