MUMFORD & SONS
Babel
(Glassnote Records)
Mumford & Sons under Glassnote Records has done it again. With their second album “Babel,” they manage to stay true to their indie folk sound and tower over their ever-popular first album’s success. With each songs’ raw emotion and even a cover of “The Boxer” originally by Simon and Garfunkel, it was too difficult to pick a favorite song. “Lover of the Light” with a heavy country-music air to it is beginning to stand out as another timeless necessity in any Mumford inspired playlist. They have a sound perfect for young and old with beautiful lyrics and a pulse for the kids to dance to. It’s fairly easy to get lost in their enveloping sound and for around $14 at your neighborhood Target, who wouldn’t want to?
