This Friday the Vista Ridge Rangers will be hosting their annual Homecoming game. At the start of the 2009 season Vista Ridge began their second year as being a part of district 16-5A. The Rangers have been struggling in district play and currently hold a record of 1-9 over the last two seasons.
Typically teams tend to schedule low ranked opponents for their Homecoming game. They do this in order to try and ensure a win in front of the currently enrolled students, and the alumni who return for the Homecoming game. For their game this year, Vista scheduled the 3-0 Cedar Park Timberwolves, a questionable choice seeing that Cedar Park is undefeated in district. Ever since the devastating 54-17 loss to Lake Travis, Cedar Park’s been dominating their opponents left and right. The black rain defense is only giving up 24 points a game, and the Cedar Park offense is averaging 49 points a game.
The Timberwolves ought to destroy the Rangers and continue their hunt for a district title. Go Cedar Park!
