Reading is a gateway to different worlds and can take readers on an adventure they can’t experience in their own life, giving them the opportunity to escape from their current reality, according to English teacher Jessica Logsdon. “Reading has given me a much-needed outlet. ![One of the few stick vehicles in the school parking lot, senior Alex Trebilco’s 1970 Ford Maverick is a restoration project he worked on with his dad. He and his father have worked on cars together for all of Trebilco’s life, and have several finished projects because of it. “[My favorite memory with my car is] honestly just cruising with my dad in his truck and my car,” Trebilco said. “Both of the [cars] are restored. Ghosts, Ghouls and Lacrosse

Cedar Park Lacrosse won a spooky scrimmage 19-5 against Vandegrift on Oct. 28 at 7:30 while wearing Halloween costumes.
The team prepared for the game with practice drills, such as stick stills and footwork. Chris Garza, senior and Varsity defender, wore a pirate costume to the game. Kenny Jonga, senior defensive mid-fielder wore a Native American outfit.
“I was excited to play in my costume,” Garza said. “I thought it was a lot of fun.”
The scrimmage was a pre-season game, but both teams were still looking for a win.
“I was really pumped about the game since it was our home field,” Jonga said.

![While feeling the rush of emotions after reaching 100 wins in his wrestling career, senior and varsity wrestler Kane Sistrunk celebrates his win against Comal Canyon. Attaining this achievement is a rare occurrence in the high school wrestling world. “It was super relieving because I knew there were celebrations and fun things like that,” Sistrunk said. “My best friend was telling everyone I had 99 wins before the match, which is nerve-racking [to try and meet everyone’s expectation of me reaching 100]. It was super fulfilling to get [the win].”
