Cedar Park students will pile into their green, black and white painted cars and hit the road to Arlington this afternoon to attend the State Championship football game against Lancaster High School at 8 p.m. at Dallas Cowboy Stadium. Students showed their excitement in a variety of ways this week.
Signs, streamers and green paint covered CPHS to congratulate and send good luck to the varsity football team. Presale tickets sold out on Dec. 19 and State shirts didn’t last long either, with over 900 pre-paid orders. Celebrities, cheerleaders, band, students, staff and parents held a send off this morning at 8 a.m. outside the field house, complete with “Metal Shop” and green and white Santa hats.
“I decorated my house and some of the players trucks,” freshman Jayde Bennett said. “I feel really good about the game. I believe the guys have what it takes, they just need to go out and give it all they got tonight.”
The game will air on Fox Sports Southwest Plus.
