The style of back then has since been replaced by splashes of color, curvy lines and other new art techniques. [Over time] I think art has shifted more to emotion rather than human beauty, sophomore Braeden Murray said. Modern art is significantly more abstract and doesnt have an obvious theme in mind. Very simple shapes, no people to be seen, and more colorful. Wilkinson has been diving for a year and a half and is seeded second for districts. “Diving is hard because it requires you to know where you are in the air,” Rustin said. “You have to know which rotation you are in when you are spinning. [I dive] because I want to get in the top ten at state. He and his father have worked on cars together for all of Trebilco’s life, and have several finished projects because of it. “[My favorite memory with my car is] honestly just cruising with my dad in his truck and my car,” Trebilco said. “Both of the [cars] are restored. My name is Jared Maddox. Not Jerry, not Jerard, Jared. I enjoy everything. The world is wonderful! Except for those few things that bug me, like when someone has the will to complain about something but not the drive to change it, or when someone in authority over me expects more out of me than they do out of themselves. Like when the guy I introduce myself to can tell me all about the invasion of Acropolis in Battlestar Galactica last night and yet he can’t possibly pronounce my name right or when a guy contradicts his own explanation of himself. Why would someone ever take the time to write about themselves anyway? You might wonder why I don’t do something about all these things, but I just don’t feel like it. Besides, they don’t really bother me; they just give me something to write about.
