Smiling, senior Slava Andrianov poses for the camera. Maintaining the grades to be Valedictorian is hard, but Andrianov did it and now has the skills he needs for college “To me personally I’d say it’s worth it with all the work I’ve put into school, as we get closer to the end of the school year it seems like everyone is getting lazier, but it’s nice to have something to strive for like it keeps me on edge and keeps me focused,” Adndrionva said. “At the end of the day even if most of these skills I’m learning don’t transfer over the ability to just focus in will definitely help.”

The Paramount Plus exclusive “The Offer '' had its first episode release on April 28th and was directed by Dexter Fletcher. The 10 part series is a drama with semi-fact and semi-fiction aspects of the creation of the classic movie “The Godfather”. Throughout I watched the entire show at every chance I could get and would say it’s best enjoyed with a coke, ice cream and some extra cheddar flavor blasted goldfish.

Since the beginning of COVID-19, the number of tutors for the AVID program has dropped off. “We can’t really even do tutorials without tutors; it’s really just asking a friend for help,” AVID student Camdyn Davis said. “I’d really like to have tutors because when we had them it was always really easy to learn stuff I didn’t know.”

Here you can see junior Dominic Caruso giving instructions to kids about the bubble ring, where kids try to push one another out. The PALs helped give instructions and monitor the kids to ensure safety. “Students followed the rules and enjoyed themselves lots participating in all the different slides and bouncy houses, but our station, the inflatable doughnut pit, was also a great source of entertainment for the kids,” Caruso sais. “They were having a lot of fun hitting the other students out of the ring.

Although it looks like a lot of rides, this is only a third of the available rides at Kalahari. Here you can see single, double and quad rides right next to people playing basketball in the pool. There are many options at Kalahari, and you should definitely try it before any other waterpark.

Welding a chunk of metal, sophomore Mason Kasel works on a new project while wearing his safety gear for his
Agricultural Mechanics class. Safety is important in the workshop, and welders weld behind a shower curtain like a light shield. “The best part of my job is when you get a student who's been struggling and then they have an ‘ah-ha’ moment and have this look on their face and you can see the light bulb above the head,” Russell said. “There’s a lot of kids who’ve never had tools at home so this is a whole new experience for them.”

“Don’t Look Up” was released on Dec. 5, 2021 after around six months of filming. In this scene, Jennifer Lawerence, playing Kate Dibiasky, and Timothee Chalamet, playing Pule, are talking about a person who scammed them out of free snacks and charged them. I loved this movie, and I definitely recommend it to those who haven’t watched it yet.

The new "Lost in Space" series was recreated around 50 years after the original, and around 25 years after the movie. This time, it's with a TV Series adaptation on Netflix. I personally wish there was another season, as I absolutely love the show, from the plot to the acting.

Denis Villeneuve, the director of the 2021 "Dune" film, released a poorly managed film. Having a complicated and confusing plot the movie would've failed without it's large spending budget. The greatest parts of the movie were the elements like CGI, music and actor selection, but it missed the mark on plot lines and acting.

Standing among the clothing racks, the Leander ISD PTA Clothes Closet staff poses for a picture on Oct. 14. Judy Buckner, an experienced community service member who has been helping the Clothes Closet for the past 15 years, said she likes helping students in need. “People do all these things that help people far, far away and that’s great, everyone needs help, but people don’t realize what the need is right here in the community,” Buckner said. “You don’t have to spend all the money on postage to help people, you’ve got people in your own neighborhood who need help.”

"So I'm glad it's back so I can connect once again and serve the community."
