Madison Cherry has taken her first step towards the world of business. The junior student has become an influencer for American Eagle and has started her own jewelry business, and has gained a lot of advice from her experience. “Being an influencer teaches me how to run Instagram, and see what my audience likes the most, when they are most active, etc,” Cherry said. “When I do get more serious with my jewelry business, I can see what my audience likes and what they don’t like, so that I can promote my product more and sell what [is] more popular. Definitely, being an influencer has given me a lot of advice, whether that be from business partners or my own experience.”

Starting off as an influencer for the retail company American Eagle, junior Madison Cherry has taken the world by storm. Cherry has begun to pursue the world of business by promoting products on social media and has started her own jewelry selling business.
“I got the idea to pursue my own jewelry business from always wanting to be a part of the fashion industry and wanting to create something for people,” Cherry said. “I got ideas from other accounts on Instagram and [learned from] how they sell clothes and jewelry. I do want to start a clothing company, but I thought starting off with jewelry will be the best way to get into business. Social media has been giving me a lot of ideas for things I would like to do in the future. I personally follow a lot of business and fashion accounts and get ideas from them as well.”
Cherry added that her actions now give her a clear idea of her future plans. She also wants to learn the ins and outs of product promotion in hopes of doing the same thing for herself.
“My opportunity at American Eagle has definitely given me a perfect starting point for what I want to do for my career,” Cherry said. “I also get to learn the ways of Instagram and its analytics so I can promote my own product someday.”
Cherry said she likes to express herself through fashion. Oftentimes, this means dressing up according to her mood that day. According to her, she got noticed by American Eagle because of her expressive style.
“I got interested in fashion from watching ‘Friends’,” Cherry said. “I loved Rachel and her style, shopping, etc. I just love clothes. I like to express myself through clothes, like lazy and fancy days. I know I wanted to work in retail because I wanted to work with clothes so that I can learn and get experience with them. I dressed nice for my [American Eagle] interview, and I got noticed and they wanted me to be a part of their program. They checked out my Instagram and that’s how I became an influencer for American Eagle, I got approved by [them].”
According to Cherry, being an influencer gives her experience in the digital world, It gives her a chance to reach out to the public masses and create things for them that they will love.
Cherry is selling her jewelry for $3 a piece on Instagram. If students are interested, they can follow the account @m.cherrydesigns. For now, she is selling earrings of various colors and styles. The prices vary according to the amount of time gone into making them.

Yearbook won 43, newspaper won 14 and broadcast took home nine. “I think [the ILPC awards] are a great way to give the kids some acknowledgement for all of their hard work,” newspaper and yearbook adviser Paige Hert said. “They typically spend the year covering everyone else’s big moments, so it’s really cool for them to be celebrated so many times and in so many different ways.”](https://cphswolfpack.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/edited-ILPC.jpg)

"I feel like it’s not really appreciated in America as much, but [tennis] is a really competitive and mentally challenging sport,” Nguyen said. “I’m really level-headed and can keep my cool during a match, and that helps me play a bit better under pressure.” Photo by Kyra Cox](https://cphswolfpack.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/hasun.jpg)

Lucas broke the school’s 18-year-old record for the 500 freestyle at regionals and again at state with a time of 4:58.63. “I’d had my eye on that 500 record since my freshman year, so I was really excited to see if I could get it at regionals or districts,” Lucas said. “ State is always a really fun experience and medaling for the first time was really great. It was a very very tight race, [so] I was a bit surprised [that I medaled]. [There were] a lot of fast girls at the meet in general, [and] it was like a dogfight back and forth, back and forth.” Photo by Kaydence Wilkinson](https://cphswolfpack.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Kaydence-2.7-23-edit-2.jpg)
