Reale’s Italian Café

Ross Plaza 183, 13450 North Highway 183

Austin, TX

The heavenly aroma of garlic, butter and a world wind of other Italians spices embraced my nose as I opened the door into the picturesque, cheesy 80’s Italian décor of Reale’s Italian Café. Rich red walls, Venetian plaster murals, low, romantic lighting; everything that comes to mind when one thinks of a cute Valentine’s Day venue. The food on the other hand, leads you in a completely different direction from the frivolous decorum; Reale’s menu hosts and array of truly Italian dishes, including a personal favorite: their New York style pizza. Accompanied by a lineup of different toppings to choose from, and perfect for sharing with a friend or special someone, it’s sure to hit the spot. Prices range from $5.99 to upwards of $20, and the price, I can assure, you is worth it. Open Monday through Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Friday to Saturday 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., you are sure to run into the owner and his family, more than willing to say a quick hello. With a friendly wait staff, great food and a pleasant, almost comical décor, who could ask for more?
