Meet and Greet: New CP coaches

This year, Cedar Park High school welcomed a flood of new teachers and coaches. In order to get to know these new member of the Timberwolf family the WolfPack staff asked them some corky Q&As.

 

Pecos McDaniel (pronounced Pay-cus Mc-dan-e-ls)

Teaching world history and coaching both football and boys basketball, McDaniel has been teaching for 28 years. He graduated from Dripping Springs as valedictorian, and later went UT Austin.

Q: If you could be any animal, what animal would you be?
A: An eagle, they’re very regal and they can fly.

Q: If you could have any superpower, what superpower would you have?
A: Superman’s powers, to fly, I’m fascinated with flying.

Q: What’s your favorite thing about CP?
A: The culture and excellence in all areas, academic, fine arts, and athletic.

 

 

Stefany Austin

Austin is the newest trainer to Cedar Park. She graduated from Texas Tech University and has a passion for action movies.

Q: Where did you go to college?
A: Texas Tech.

Q: If you could be any animal, what animal would you be?
A: A monkey, it would be fun to climb trees.

Q:  What is your favorite movie?
A: “White House Down”, it’s a good action movie.

Q: How do you say caramel?
A: “car-mel”

 

 

Jason James

James works as a special ed teacher and P.E  coach for Cedar Park.

Q: If you could have any superpower, what superpower would you have?
A:  Flying.

Q: What’s your must have item for teaching?
A: A whistle and humor.

Q: Android or iphone?
A: Android.

 

 

Nick Rogers

Rogers works as an AVID and a health teacher, along with coaching both football and baseball. He graduated from Midwestern State.

Q: What college did you go to?
A: I went to Midwestern State University because it was a good school that was affordable.

Q: What extracurricular activities were you involved in in high school?
A: I mainly just played sports. I played football, basketball, and baseball.

Q: What’s your must have item for teaching?
A: A computer or laptop because it makes it much easier to incorporate technology into the classroom.

A: Iphone.
