DEN, a 35-minute-long free period students are given, is used in many ways for a variety of purposes. Students use this time to work on homework, make up missed tests and sometimes catch up with friends. Lots of students use DEN to run “errands,” as well, whether that means picking up an assignment from a teacher, visiting with a student teacher or asking the librarian about a tech issue. Students can no longer leave their designated classroom during DEN, even to go to the restroom.

Around Cedar Park there are many different pizzerias with many different styles of pizza, from New York style to authentic Italian; People have lots of options to choose from when ordering pizza, however with so many choices, decisions are tough to make.

Yaghi’s offers authentic New York style pizza. Their pizza is good quality, but it is also quite pricey as their smallest cheese pizza is $10.99, and this largest is $14.99 with additional toppings starting at $1.50. Yaghis also offers many different pizza specialties such as a Veggie Pizza, Chicken Ranch pizza and a Mediterranean Pizza. Yaghis has an online menu with the ability to see prices and pictures of the pizza before you call and order.

Pizza Hut has many different pizzas you can order online. They recently added pizza sliders to their menu with nine for $10. Pizza hut has pizzas for cheese lovers, pepperoni lovers, meat lovers, and veggie lovers. Pizza Hut also lets you create your own pizza on their website, letting you choose.

Marcos Pizza offers authentic Italian pizza and has many coupons you can get online for discounted pizzas and discounted toppings. They offer a ‘build your own’ option, which allows one to choose toppings from a huge variety, then you get to choose what thickness of crust you have. Macro also offers an email club that notifies you of special deals, and when you sign up you get free cheezybread with the purchase of a regular pizza.
