Eyes on the end zone, senior running back Kevin Adams scores a touchdown in overtime on Nov. 12 against Johnson. According to Max Preps, Adams had 120 total yards and two touchdowns. “My two touchdowns felt pretty good, especially my overtime touchdown where we snatched the lead and having their fumble felt pretty good, Adams said.

Looking ahead, junior Nick Grullon runs the hurdles at the track meet on Feb. 3. Due to Coronavirus.  the  amount of teams allowed at the meet were restricted, however the new changes dont deter his passion for track.  I enjoy track because its an opportunity to grow mentally and physically Grullon said. I stay in shape by eating healthy and maintaining my training regimen.

Focusing, junior Lexi Hall dances during the Celebrities holiday show on Dec. 13. Hall said that she was excited to be able to perform the Celebrities finale dance again. My favorite part of the holiday show was performing [the] finale, Hall said. It is a super fun traditional dance we do every year and I am very grateful we were able to perform it again despite the circumstances.

Standing together, Celebrities senior Gwen Gaffney, junior Lucy Walter and sophomore Audrey Johnson prepare the audience for the next performance during the Celebrities holiday show on Dec. 13. The Celebrities were able to continue a tradition by ending the winter show with their finale dance. My favorite part of [the] holiday show was definitely the finale, Gaffney said. It always gets me excited for the holidays and the dance is so fun to perform as a whole. Its one of the traditional dances we do each year but it never gets old.

With sharp movements, Celebrities junior lieutenant Katie Kim, junior Kinley Lynch and senior Madi Garcia perform a hip hop routine at the Celebrities Winter Show on Dec. 13. Kim said even though the pandemic caused changes to their show she is grateful for the opportunities she has to perform. I really want to cherish every moment I get to dance and performs with my teammates, Kim said. I know that we are very lucky to still be able to dance together.

In a sparkly red ensemble and a Santa hat, freshman emerald Saxon Schroeder jumps on her count at the Celebrities winter show on Dec. 13. With the pandemic, Emeralds and other dancers have a limited number of performances this year. “We have had less performance opportunities which has been sad,” Schroeder said. “Otherwise, I love being an Emerald. Some of my close friends are in dance so it’s a lot of fun.”

Quarterback Ryder Hernandez looks for a receiver to pass the ball to at the homecoming game against Georgetown. We [continue] to get better each week and I have a great time with my teammates, Hernandez said. It doesnt get much batter than coming out with a win every Friday with the guys youve been grinding with.
