Janet Nava is a junior and a second year staff member on the WolfPack staff. She is a Cedar Park Celebrities Manager and plays guitar. She loves to read and is a huge nerd. She has always loved music and you will most likely find her with her earbuds in. She enjoys writing features, captions and creative stories.

On Dec. 12, junior point guard Jazzmine Thorpe dribbles the ball during the girls’ varsity basketball game against the Westwood Warriors. The Lady Timberwolves lost by 15 points but the Timberwolves are looking forward to playing the rest of the season’s games. “Westwood wasn’t easy,” Thorpe said. “It wasn’t an easy win for them either, it was hard on both teams. Even though I’m disappointed, I’m really looking forward to the Georgetown game. It’s our chance at redemption and I’m looking forward to beating them.”

McCarty usually goes on the app after school to catch up on her favorite anime shows while working on her homework. “Anime is so much fun and I love watching it,” McCarty said. “It’s really nice to sit down and enjoy watching something that you like to spend time on.”

The band sets up props for their performance at The Festival of Bands at Gupton Stadium on Sept. 22. The Festival helped raise money for charity while judges rate the bands from different schools on their overall performance. “The Festival is more of a show,” Driskill said. “It’s all about how your performance looks and whether or not the show comes together.”
