Avery Deen, Reporter
Avery Deen is a senior going into her third year on staff of the Wolfpack. When she’s not dying of homework from her six AP classes, she enjoys reading and stalking her favorite authors at book festivals. She is president of book club, vice president of Sigma Nu Gamma, and the treasurer of the Harry Potter club. She has been accepted to the University of North Texas and is looking forward to majoring and pursuing a career in library science. She is a bit OCD and her loves her rainbow organized bookshelves. She absolutely adores her pomeranian Cookie who often prances around in little pink dresses. She hopes to someday live in a cozy apartment will wall to wall bookshelves decorated with antique chotskies with some kind of fluffy small dog to accompany her in her reading chair.

Tran said the wins against Smithson Valley and Alamo Heights gave the team a morale boost to take on the Raiders tonight. “I know we were not 100% confident in those games,” Tran said. “But, Rouse is a big opponent for sure. Terry said his proudest moments are when his students are happy to see him. “When I take my wife to a football game or something and a bunch of students want to say hi to me or they like to smile and wave and it just makes me feel good that the students are really kind and supportive of me,” Terry said. “[I’m also] proud when I see students perform really well in their extracurriculars because I can see how hard they’re working in my classes, [so] when I see that they’re also working so hard in other things. Like they’re winning band competitions or they’re getting awards for their theater productions, or I see them put on their choir shows, that’s like, wow, you guys are incredible.”](https://cphswolfpack.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Rags-6.png)

![Clapping along to the beat while Rise Against The Storm plays at Blues On The Green on Aug 12 is junior Deirdre Wolf. Wolf met up with some friends at the festival and enjoyed listening to the music with them. “I was actually flying in from New York the same day, so I got off of the plane and immediately headed to Zilker Park,” Wolf said. “Where I met up with a good handful of current and past CPHS students. Shakey Graves was my favorite [performance] hands down, his music is simultaneously original while also being comfort music. ![The RoboLobos revealed their robot made to lift and stack boxes at the Chili Cook-Off on Feb. 15 in the cafeteria. The robot was created to compete in Recycle Rush at the Alamo Regional Competition on Mar. 11-15. [At the cook-off] we got to show it in action. It wasn’t staged, said team member Connor Nesbitt.
